Take it to heart

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I wanted to make a card that was perfect for a friend.  I used the Take it to heart stamp set found in the Occasions mini.  My inspiration came from Chantale Girard.  This layout is versatile & can be used for any occasion - simply change the stamp & the punch and you have a card for any occasion!

Supplies: Shimmery white paper, calypso coral paper, ink & ruffled ribbon, small heart & corner rounder punches.

If you would like to learn to make this card or others, let me know.  I am booking workshops now & Sale-A-Bration starts on January 24th, so now is the time to host a party!  During Sale-a-bration, when you spend $50, you also earn free products from the Sale-a-bration catalog - stamps, paper, accessories.  And if you host a qualifying party, you earn a free tote bag too.  Don't delay, contact me today!

Gnomes

I love gnomes & adore the Gnome Sweet Gnome set in the Occasions mini catalog.  So today I played around with the set to see what I could come up with.   I had fun coloring them in using the watercolor pencils.  The new pleated ribbon (also in the Occasions mini) is great.   I used Blushing Bride on my card.  It is also available in Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red & Baja Breeze.

Enjoy your weekend!

Thinking of you

I don't like to make sympathy cards, but unfortunately they can't be avoided.  Thankfully I was able to case a card made by Karin Menghini.  I changed the sentiment to what I had on hand.  This card could be for any occasion just by changing the sentiment.  Love the textured feeling on the mocha morning designer paper - its like velvet.

Completed order

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  Had a fun night last night at Verizon Center watching the Caps beat Tampa Bay.  Congratulations to Troy Brouwer on his hat trick last night - always make the game a little special to be at.  On to card marking...

When I had my table at Kettler Ice Rink in November, a friend of mine purchased some cards.  When she got home, her brother-in-law Mike was visiting & asked her if I could make some cards for him.  Basic, masculine cards with an M on them.  At that time, I had no alphabet stamps - thankfully my friend did.  So I borrowed a few from her and promptly got sidetracked with Christmas & New Years.  Last weekend I came up with a few designs and dropped them off at her house.  Mike picked out a card from the samples I had dropped off.  And there was my first order for 15 cards w/envelopes.  I used whisper white & chocolate chip card stock, chocolat chip ink & (retired) designer paper.  I finished them up tonight and realized I needed to put them in something other than a bag.  So I used my simply scored tool from Stampin' Up! and had a container for them in a flash.

Now if we could just do something about my photography skills or lack of them!  I can't hold the camera still, so I apologize for the blur :)  If you would like to order stationary or any other cards, let me know.  I would love to make them for you or teach you how to create them yourself!

Enjoy your weekend,
Melissa

Indecisions

Do you ever look at all of your stampin' supplies & wonder what to do?  I seem to have that thought every time I sit down to start creating.  I see all these wonderful cards & creations on various websites.  So I make a note, save the picture to a file and sit at my table ready to be inspired.  Lately it seems, I can't seem to pick up the first stamp because I can't envision the finished project.  One of my goals this year (heck this month!) is to just stamp and let the card build itself.  Join me on this journey into the unknown - I will post pictures of everything I come up with - bear with me if they are not that great!  Lets see what we can make.  Email me your cards at MelissaCzarnecki@gmail.com & I will post them here.  Then we can all get some ideas :)

  Now let's get crafting!

Valentine Card

Here is a quick & easy Valentine card using some of the great new tools for the big shot in the Occasions Mini catalog.  I used Twitterpated Designer Paper, Take It to Heart stamp set & and the Heart Framelit dies.  I wish I had also gotten the PS I Love you set because it would have been perfect in the middle of the heart!  Hope you like it!

As always, if you would like to learn to make these cards & more, let me know & we can set up a workshop at your house or mine.  I would love to share my love for card making with you & your friends!
