I bought a few gift certificates this year & they wouldn't fit inside a card, so I came up with these cute little holders last night.  Hope the recipients like them!

I hope you have a merry Christmas with friends & family!  When you are ready to start stampin', let me know!

Come to Bethlehem & see

Come to Bethlehem & see Him whose birth the angels sing...  Every time I say the name of this stamp set, I start to sing (thankfully no one hears me most of the time!)  I don't think you need much on this card, the image is captivating & the rhinestone on the star catches your eye.  Going for simple on this one (& quick to make!)

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Come to Bethlehem
Ink: Night of Navy
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White
Other: rhinestones

Gift card holder

A friend of mine asked if I could make some gift card holders for Christmas.  So I searched for ideas from my fellow demonstrators & fell in love with the one Julie Davidson made.  You can see hers by clicking here.  I followed her sample pretty closely, only changing the sentiments & the style of ribbon - based on what I had.  Hope you like it!

Almost Christmas!

Okay, it is still a few months away, but if you want to make some cute cards to send for the holidays, now is the time to start working on them!  I found some time this afternoon to play around & came up with this cute one following a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for their 1 year anniversary.  For this card, I followed Sketch #46 (shown below)

I had so much fun working with the sketch, that I came up with this second card - sketch #36, using the new framelits from the Holiday Mini for the gingerbread men - wish they were real so I could have a snack!

If you would like to learn to make these cards & many more, please let me know.  I would love to show you how easy it is!  If you don't think you can do it, trust me you can :)  I also sell the cards if you really truly don't want to make them.  Just leave me a comment or email me.

Hope you have wonderful week!

Baby Shower!

A good friend of mine, who I have known since we were kids, is all grown up & having a baby in a few weeks.  Today was her baby shower.  I wanted to make her something she could use & to show off some great Stampin' Up! products :)

I made her 20 cards w/envelopes (& a book of stamps).  I figured you can never have enough Thank You cards - especially for when the little one arrives!

Supplies:
Ink: Marina mist, daffofil delight, crumb cake, pumpkin pie, basic black, blush blossom
Card stock: marina mist, whisper white
Stamp sets: packed for baby,  thank you kindly & thanks tons (a retired one on the inside - little tiny baby pins in two of the corners for a little color)
Other: framelits - labels, ribbon punch
Made a little box for everything to fit into & used my favorite ribbon to tie it all together & one of my favorite stamp set (Baroque motif) to give a little design to the box

Hope you like it!

Going, going, gone!

Time to say goodbye to some of our favorite stamps!

The Stampin' Up! 2012 retirement list is out.  Here is a link to the sortable Excel file.

One of my favorites, Baroque Motifs, is going away.  Which is the set you will miss most?  I need to print out the list & see what else I am saying goodbye too.
