Occasions Mini

I am taking part in a swap with some other Stampin' Up! demonstrators & we are creating cards using products from the Occasions Mini catalog.  Here is the card I created for the swap (I got the idea for the card from Susan Menillo,another SU demonstrotor).  

Supplies:

Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White

Ink: Island Indigo

Stamp sets: Bordering on Romance (Occasions mini), Word Play (2011-2012 IB&C)

Tools/Accessories:  Watercolor pencils, Blender Pens, Basic Rhinestones (IB&C), Adorning Accents edgelits die (Occasions Mini)

When I get the swaps back in the mail, I will try to remember to post them for you all to see!  Now if I can just remember to take them to the post office....

I love the word play stamp sets!  The sayings are perfect for your cards.  I needed a quick card to send out tonight that was going to a fellow stamper.  She needed some images stamped from a retired set that I have (and can't bear to part with!)  So I stamped up some chocolate bunnies and needed a card to slip them into.  Sorry for the blur - I can't take a good picture :)  One day I will figure out how to get my hands to not shake when I use my cheap little digital camera...

More birthday ideas

Sale-a-bration set

Here is a card made with one of the great stamp sets you can get when you spend $50 during Sale-a-bration with Stampin' Up!  It runs until March 31st, so if you like what you see, please contact me and I will get your order placed!  I cased this card from Julie Oliver - everything is the same except for some of the paper colors.  you can see her card here.  When I saw her card, I knew there was no need to change it because it is beautiful! 

Julie's card used a darker cardstock for the base.  Since I didn't have that color, I used the Very Vanilla and used the stampin' sponges with soft suede ink to give the edges a vintage look.
