Summer Smooches

Stampin' Up! is offering a sneak preview called Summer Smooches with products from the new catalog.  The promotion runs the entire month of April.  Please note that the designer fabric & decor stencil are not going to be in the catalog - they are only available for purchase in April.  If you like what you see, let me know & I can place an order for you.

Remember, the Occasions mini catalog is over at the end of April, so if there is anything you have your eye on, don't forget to order it before April 30th!  The retired list of stamps will be out in late April (for the big catalog/idea book) and the accessories too.  2010-2012 In Colors will be retiring at the end of May as well.

Color challenge

I worked on my first color challenge this afternoon.  It is a lot harder than I thought it would be!  The colors to use were Concord Crush, Peach Parfait & Bashful Blue.  

Paper: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Peach Parfait
Ink: Bashful Blue, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush

Occasions Mini

I am taking part in a swap with some other Stampin' Up! demonstrators & we are creating cards using products from the Occasions Mini catalog.  Here is the card I created for the swap (I got the idea for the card from Susan Menillo,another SU demonstrotor).  

Supplies:

Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White

Ink: Island Indigo

Stamp sets: Bordering on Romance (Occasions mini), Word Play (2011-2012 IB&C)

Tools/Accessories:  Watercolor pencils, Blender Pens, Basic Rhinestones (IB&C), Adorning Accents edgelits die (Occasions Mini)

When I get the swaps back in the mail, I will try to remember to post them for you all to see!  Now if I can just remember to take them to the post office....

I love the word play stamp sets!  The sayings are perfect for your cards.  I needed a quick card to send out tonight that was going to a fellow stamper.  She needed some images stamped from a retired set that I have (and can't bear to part with!)  So I stamped up some chocolate bunnies and needed a card to slip them into.  Sorry for the blur - I can't take a good picture :)  One day I will figure out how to get my hands to not shake when I use my cheap little digital camera...

Sale-a-bration set

Here is a card made with one of the great stamp sets you can get when you spend $50 during Sale-a-bration with Stampin' Up!  It runs until March 31st, so if you like what you see, please contact me and I will get your order placed!  I cased this card from Julie Oliver - everything is the same except for some of the paper colors.  you can see her card here.  When I saw her card, I knew there was no need to change it because it is beautiful! 

Julie's card used a darker cardstock for the base.  Since I didn't have that color, I used the Very Vanilla and used the stampin' sponges with soft suede ink to give the edges a vintage look.
